一、牛津初中英语为渗透环境教育提供了广泛的课程资源
牛津教材是按照“话题——功能——结构——任务”相结合的思想编排的，以话题为主线，任务为主导，辅以功能和结构项目，有效培养综合运用英语的能力。每一单元的内容围绕某一话题展开听说读写活动，内容联系社会，贴近学生生活实际，富有时代信息，体现时代精神。其中涉及到的教育题材就有人与人、人与社会、人与自然、野生动物保护、生态平衡、生命健康、自然灾害、粮食与人口危机、废弃物处理、环境污染与环境保护等内容。

案例：8A Unit5 Reading Zhalong——A special place，这篇阅读文章内容均来自扎龙自然保护区的真实信息，介绍了扎龙的生态环境。鼓励学生在课前通过各种途径收集一些有关鸟类的***片资料，访问一些网站准备有关扎龙自然保护区的信息，教师可以制作一个教学课件。
教学进程：围绕“A nature reserve”这一话题，先让同学交流收集的有关鸟类***片资料，自述周围的鸟类生存环境状况，然后假设对自己周边的环境进行保护和改善，特别要思考如何去保护野生动物和鸟类，遵循事物发展的先后顺序来完成下列任务：

3.The things you have done to protect wild animals and birds。

词汇教学是英语教学的重要环节之一，要把环保教育贯穿渗透到词汇教学中。如词汇中涉及到koala(树袋熊)、lion（狮子）、dolphin（海豚）、panda（熊猫）、elephant（大象）、tiger老虎）、penguin（企鹅）、giraffe（长颈鹿）等动物，要使学生认识到：熊猫是仅生存在中国的濒危动物之一，我国特别重视其保护，设立了专门的保护区；像老虎大象等一些濒临灭绝的动物，世界各国都采取了有效的保护措施。只不过我们常能见到的动物，可能是在动物园中，甚至生活在笼子里，为什么不让它们自由自在地生活在它们的家园里呢？从这些词汇教学中，可以教育学生爱护动物，保护生态环境，思考人与动物、人与自然如何和谐相处。共同生存发展等问题。动物类的单词，每一个单词都蕴含着丰富的知识，教师在教授这些动物名称的单词时，可以问一些相关的知识，在问与回答的过程中，自然而然地渗透环保教育。

三、在英语儿歌、歌曲的教学中渗透环保教育

古往今来，教师不仅要“授业”，更应“传道”。作为一名英语教师，在授课过程中，如果只教英语语言，不言其它，必将失之偏颇，达不到教书育人的目的。但是，英语学科教学有其自身的特点，教师不可能直接讲***治思想教育的内容。怎么办呢？《全日制初级中学英语教学大纲》指出教学中应该遵循英语教学规律，寓思想教育于语言教学之中。也就是说，在课堂教学过程中，既要注意遵循语言教学的规律，巩固、扩大学生的基础知识，发展听、说、读、写的基本技能，培养他们的交际和阅读能力；又要注意将思想品德教育贯穿于英语教学之中，才能使英语教学与德育相得益彰。以下是我在初中英语教学过程中渗透德育的几点尝试：
